Public - a connectivity service to an Internet Exchange platform, in order to exchange traffic between participants.

Cable management may be done either by the customer or by Balcan-IX.

What is Link Aggregation?
Also known as "trunking", "EtherChannel", or the official IEEE term "LACP / 802.3ad". Link aggregation bundles multiple parallel links between a pair of devices forming a single high- performance channel. In Balcan-IX, link aggregation is available for 2 and 4 Gbps connections, in all locations.

Yes, Balcan-IX members can upgrade their connection any time. Upgrade works do not involve any cost, but the monthly fee will increase, according to the new capacity.

Balcan-IX maintains two mailing lists:
tech@list.balcan-ix.net - includes email addresses of the technical contacts; the list will be used for technical situations announcements.
peering_contacts@list.balcan-ix.net - includes email addresses of the commercial contacts; the list will be used for general interest situations (e.g. announcement of new customers).
